Kåret til årets nordiske fototalent
Stine Rebekka Røstad, avgangselev ved Norges Kreative Fagskole, Trondheim, har fått tittelen Photographic Graduate of the Year 2013 under Nordic Light International Festival of Photography.
I tillegg til heder og ære får Stine Rebekka Røstad en separatutstilling på Nordic Light International Festival of Photography i 2014. Fotografiprisvinneren Erik Almås kunngjorde på sin utdeling tidligere i uken at han gir 25.000 kroner fra sin sjekk på 100.000 kr. til årets Photographic Graduate of the Year.
Den internasjonale juryen forklarer kåringen slik: «Stine Rebekka’s unique vision creates a dramatic impression on the viewer. Blending elements of nature with the body, her images suggest mystery and poetry, while at the same time, a challenging portrayal of this intersection. We, the jury, see great possibilities for future exploration of this theme and therefore award her.»
Juryen besto av Morten Krogvold (fotograf og kunstnerisk leder, Nordic Light), Connie Imboden (fotograf), Nelson Ramírez de Arellano (fotograf), Sandra Mari Lund (fotograf og Photographic Graduate of the Year 2012) og Marc Lethernet (generalsponsor Leica).Tidligere vinnere er Haakon Brox (2011) og Sandra Mari Lund (2012).
